This residential pool deck nicknamed the Wizard of Oz deck was created for a client who wanted to match the Venetian plaster on their patio cover which was in red and gold. The pool deck was existing concrete which was first overlaid with a troweled down overlayment by Miracote in a quarter inch thickness. To create the bands of color the design was taped off and alternating colors of Miracote's brick red and harvest gold at half strength mixed in an acrylic resin were sprayed on the surface. The deck was then sealed with QC's matte finish sealer.
